The Foundation for Polish Science together with the French Academy of Science decided to continue their cooperation in order to award the Polish-French Marie Skłodowska-Curie and Pierre Curie Scientific Prize. This cooperation will be possible thanks to the financial support granted by the Zygmunt Zaleski Foundation.
The Polish-French Science Prize was established in 2019 to promote Polish-French scientific cooperation. The prize can be awarded to a pair of collaborating scientists from Poland and France. The first edition was carried out with the financial support of the French Ministry of Higher Education, Research and Innovation (MESRI).
On Tuesday, 7 September this year in Paris, the Foundation for Polish Science and the French Academy of Science signed an agreement to continue cooperation in awarding the Prize. Both parties will appoint a Polish-French Chapter, responsible for the substantive course of the competition and selection of laureates.
In Paris, the Foundation for Polish Science also signed an agreement with the Zygmunt Zaleski Foundation, which has supported the development of Polish culture both in Poland and in France during the last 30 years. Under the agreement, both parties will jointly finance the Polish-French Science Prize.
